Dr. J. Andrew Kuypers

Owner and Principal Consultant

I'm a communication consultant, author, and educator who has a passion for empowering professionals to communicate with confidence and strength. I've dedicated my 30 year career (consulting, coaching, lecturing, giving workshops, and publishing academic research) to helping individuals and organizations unleash their communication potential.

My expertise embraces public speaking, interpersonal communication, strategic messaging, media analysis, and communication theory. I've authored or edited 17 books and numerous peer-reviewed articles. This work has focused on areas such as public speaking, media framing, political communication, and communication strategies in the digital age. Throughout my work I've always aimed to bridge academic insights with practical, real-world communication skills.

In my roles as communication consultant, professor at Virginia Tech, and former Director of Speech at Dartmouth College, I've mentored countless students and professionals, helping them reduce performance anxiety and develop effective communication abilities. I'm especially passionate about helping people excel in an AI world by enhancing their creativity and critical thinking abilities.

I have a simple professional mission: to help people become more effective, confident communicators. Whether through keynote or motivational speeches, workshops, or one-on-one coaching, I'm committed to transforming my clients' communication challenges into opportunities for growth and success.

I’ve collaborated with a diverse array of clients, including institutions such as Tuck Business School, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, and USB Timber, as well as high-profile political figures, including gubernatorial and congressional candidates. My consulting experience also encompasses work with attorneys and law enforcement agencies. In all I do I work to tailor communication strategies to meet the unique needs of each client.

My Ph.D. in Communication is from Louisiana State University, and is complemented by both a M.A. and B.S. in Communication from Florida State University. I am committed to excellence in communication education and consulting, and bring this to bear in my work with individuals and organizations seeking to enhance their communication effectiveness and achieve their strategic objectives.

Cindy Little is a multifaceted professional whose diverse educational background and extensive experience in both healthcare and business uniquely position her as a valuable asset in the field of communication consulting. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South University in High Point, NC. Cindy has a solid foundation in patient care and healthcare communication. This expertise is complemented by her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics from High Point University, equipping her with a keen understanding of the economic factors that influence healthcare and business operations.

Cindy's journey began with an Associate of Applied Science in Commercial Art and Advertising Design from Guilford Technical Community College, where she honed her creative skills. This artistic background, combined with a Certificate of Study in Accounting from Guilford College, provides her with a unique perspective on the intersection of creativity and financial acumen, essential for effective communication strategies in consulting.

Cindy has built a robust career that reflects her commitment to service and her ability to navigate complex systems. As an Law Office Manager and Investigator she developed strong organizational and analytical skills, managing various cases and ensuring effective communication between clients and legal professionals. Her previous roles as a Revenue Officer for the NC Department of Revenue and a Child Support Agent for Davidson County Child Support Enforcement further demonstrate her expertise in regulatory compliance and her ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.

Cindy's extensive experience in both healthcare and legal environments makes her an ideal collaborator for Dr. Kuypers in consulting cases. Her ability to bridge the gap between technical knowledge and effective communication allows her to assist clients in navigating complex issues with clarity and confidence.
