“Jim's session at our State Legislative Leaders Foundation retreat at the Reagan Library changed how I think about communication training. He didn't focus only on speeches. He spent real time on the everyday moments that actually build a legislator's credibility: the hallway conversation, the quick exchange with a reporter, the constituent who stops you after an event.”
Sen. Bob Duff
Connecticut Senate Majority Leader

A 30-Second Breathing Exercise for Speaking Anxiety
Before a high-stakes presentation, inhale gently for 5 seconds, hold for 2 seconds, and exhale slowly for 7 seconds. Repeat only if comfortable. Practice before the day of the presentation so the rhythm feels familiar. This is a performance-preparation exercise, not medical treatment.
